Why am I stuck for years in the 1300-1400 blitz bracket?

Is there anything specific in my games that prevents me from improving my rating? Please help!
If you want to get better, you should not play blitz or bullet. Play rapid and classical only. After each loss, analyze your game.
Imo chess is fun between 1200-2000, so I suggest you to stay there.
If you're not born genius with crazy memory, then after 2000+ you have to study openings and endgames, that sucks.

Right now, just like tpr said, after each loss, make an analysis what went wrong and try to improve that.
Thanks both of you. I will play more classical games!
Two tips and both are correct. To grow in skill, you need to work. But why do you need it?
The desire to grow in a certain area of knowledge is an atavism of the past centuries, when a person from the lower strata of society could and wanted to turn into a middle class. Today, the fate of the middle strata is not so enviable.

This is your most recent game at my time posting this. You show a general lack of tactical awareness. I'll give you several examples in this game when you could have delivered a crushing blow.

17. a5 = murders black, look at how bad the black queen is after that move. Really stop and look at the position.

19. Bxc5 = keeps a solid winning advantage

35. Rxe5 = Fighting hard for equality, may even have a tiny advantage not losing anymore.

39. Rxd4 = breaking apart those dangerous pawns, and winning

40. Rxg7 = winning again

43. bxe5+ followed up with 44. bd4 = holding it together

So this is a game you lost. I pointed out 4 spots you could have won, and 2 spots you could have drawn. All missed because of weak tactical awareness.
not rated much higher than yourself but move 6 ) kn c3 i did not like that because it gets in the way of the obvious pawn storm, also that c6 square looks nice for your knight(kn d2 kn b3 kn c6 sort of thing ,maybe ) if you can get the B pawn to move up the board.
it does help your rating if you can come up with a plan and move your pieces as harmoniously as possible, saying that kn c3 may well be the right move if you ask an engine ,what do i know ,lols
Im not sure if you meant to land in the French. I am not much higher rated but I can say that the French appealed to me at the onset of online chess until I started hitting a wall with positional understanding - which is what the French is regarded as, a positional sort of game.

I am not sure who said it but "superior tactics flow from a superior position" or something like that. lurarose mentioned developing tactical awareness to improve. It may be best to play openings that lean in a more tactical direction so you have a place to practice them without suffering 'inferior tactics from an inferior position'. Same with practicing tactics puzzles, get in the mix. That combination has got to be good!

That isn't to say you had a bad position in that game :)

Think about the next time you find yourself heading towards the French and try for the Exchange Variation, exd5 when d5 is played. People will say that its drawish but atleast you remain in an open position to practice harmonizing your pieces.

This is the first bit of chess advice Ive offered online so bring your grain of salt, and enjoy your games!!
@Rob420

Dont worry youll get there. I was 1300 or something in both Antichess & Crazyhouse and am now almost 1800 in zh and have been to almost 2.1k in Anti.
Just keep at it

I highly recommend NOT switching to classical or rapid.
What you need is experience not more time; and you will get a LOT more exp playing shorter TCs (2min - 5min) simply due to you getting...20-40 games per hour instead of...lol...1-3

Play tournaments. <1500 blitz or one of the 'any rating' tournies.
