My clock continues to run down after moves are played

I've been having problems today playing on the Android app. A couple of games in particular I've found that I've been making moves on the tablet, then my clock continues to run down for several seconds afterwards. The result has been I then lose on time. Very frustrating.

What could be causing this? Is this a bug?

Probably a bug. It's been reported already.
