Antichessers,
The IAF council has been working hard the last few weeks, and finally we can present some results of our ideas. First and foremost, I'm talking about getting the "King of the Board" event off the ground. A "king" will have to defend his title from the challenger, who earns this opportunity by winning a designated arena. The title match will be broadcasted by our favorite streamers. This event is open to anyone but should draw the most skilled players. For those who are just starting to play and are at the beginning of their antichess journey, we are planning a series of arenas ranging from the category "emerald" to "diamond". These arenas will be held every Wednesday, and are designed to allow anyone to have a chance to fight for the top positions in a tournament competing with opponents of their skill level. We will be posting results to antichess.org and keeping a leaderboard up to date there. Come and join us and compete for your chance to be recognized.
Here are the links to the arenas:
-Emerald (under 1400 points) lichess.org/tournament/sn8uwb0j
-Ruby (between 1400 and 1700 points) lichess.org/tournament/3hx0oq58
-Platinum (between 1700 and 2000 points) lichess.org/tournament/Xuy1DMxv
-Diamond (above 2000 points) lichess.org/tournament/SOHvVM0T
-KOTB Challenger arena - lichess.org/tournament/xvyFzJCj
If you need more information regarding anything in the area of antichess, feel free to ask me or the other board members.
We have other new ideas in the works and will also be adding more content to the website.
Join the arenas and tell your friends!
See you on the board.
