2nd-rank en passant in Horde

This is a pretty fringe matter, but while playing around with the analysis board, I found out that when white moves a pawn from the 1st to the 3rd rank in Horde, black does not have the option to capture en passant on the next move.

Based on the logic of the EP rule in standard chess, it seems as though this should be possible, but appears it is currently not possible. I could potentially suggest that to be changed, although that might have too many knock-on effects to be worth it.
Sigh. I knew someone would quote the rules. #1 is asking for a modification of the rules, not an explanation of them.

I assume (with no evidence) that horde existed prior to lichess' inclusion of it, and that the rules are well-established elsewhere.

The author explained that they just "found out" about it and that their thought is "based on the logic of the EP rule in standard chess". I quoted the Lichess Horde rules, which state that this would be "not a valid en passant capture".

So, the behaviour is intended because the move is "not valid", as according to the standard chess rules, an en passant capture is only legal if the pawn moved from its original standard chess square (2nd rank).

Changing the rules for this in Horde would not follow from the standard chess rules, but would introduce a new Horde rule, which is something different (which the author can of course still suggest). I just wanted to point this out. And every site handles the rules differently. Sorry for just dropping the quote and not explaining what I wanted to point out in the first place.

There's by the way an old GitHub issue regarding this rule change: github.com/lichess-org/lila/issues/1811
Such an en passant capture has zero practical relevance anyway
