A ban for the wrong guy?..

hi! yesterday i played two rapids.


in the 1st one my opponent was leaving the game for about 10-20 seconds before each move and making a move immediately when he returned. 20 Bh6 after 18 seconds of "thinking" was awesome. Looking at the other games he played yesterday, he clearly cheated (but he also lost to 995, lol). i reported him.

the second one looked like a fair game. i lost because of blundering my queen , opponent had some mistakes and different time of making moves. i didn't report him.

Today i logged on lichess and saw the refund. i thought that obvious cheater was marked, but i was wrong. The second guy was marked. Can anyone find a logic here? Thanks

You played 2 cheaters. Lichess got one and its just a matter of time on the other.

the second guy cheated in another few games, just not one where you played. You still get refunds tho, anyone recently losing to a cheater get a refund not matter the reason of your loss. Even someone leaving on move 2 get a refund.

the first one is obviously a cheater. Don't take more than a few seconds to find perfect moves whereas his blitz rating is weak. He also played a game against you at carlsen level of play (less than 10 centipawns loss and no inacuraties/mistakes/blunders for a long, complicated game out of theory book) but is ''only'' rated at 2200.
He/she is fishy like hell and will probably be banned too.
the mods have a priority list for the engine check and probably didn't reach him yet
