When I promote a pawn it becomes automatically a queen. At least in Crazyhouse it is sometimes better to take a knight. Is there a possibility to get the choice after promotion ?
Under your name, in preferences, there are several buttons on the left. One of them is game behavior. Click on that and scroll down, and you'll see promotion settings. Change promotion to a queen off of "automatically" to whichever you would prefer: when premoving or you always decide. That will let you choose which piece you want to promote to.
Also, I hear that holding the Ctrl key allows you to underpromote:
