Of course he could've avoided the mate in 1.

3 pawn opening was too risky for both side 💣

The time control was 180 min and both makes all your moves in less of a minute and in 13 moves game the 9 was blunder.
Of course he can avoid the # but that game is pointless (except if you play for fun)
