Why are some country’s still monarchy’s ? What ever happened to liberty, equality and fraternity?

Hi I would like you to share your opinion about this topic. I think all country’s should be republic’s.
what does monarchy and fraternity mean??????????????????
Monarchy is a country that has a king.
Fraternity is like friendship.
Some countries have monarchs but don't have as much power as the government. Besides, I think it would be quite rude for some heir to the throne who'd been waiting for years to be shoved off his/her throne when he/she finally becomes queen/king.
Or maybe just it's unlucky.
In the Spanish constitution, it says all Spanish people are equal. But the king and queen of Spain are not equal to normal Spanish people. It’s very unfair.
@Fmuror02 Republics and monarchies are not mutually exclusive. Malaysia has an elected monarch, while the United Kingdom has a system with both a monarch and a representative body.
In all honesty, monarchies aren't always as bad as they seem. They can be quite effective in small states, and they can eliminate a lot of waste, in theory.
I personally lean towards the belief that a laissez-faire confederation of states is the ideal form of government.
