Why are forums so dead?

Both chess site's forums become sleepy starting 2020! despite many are schooling and working at home due to Covid restrictions. I really can't understand this slowdown in forum activities.
Here's the problem with the lichess forums:
General Chess Discussion - Has people posting legit topics, but half of it is just people repeatedly asking the same question. There has to be a way to pin the forums that have frequently asked questions that are not in the FAQ. Or there are people who brag as well.
Game Analysis - Dead. Nobody ever responds. The Game Analysis subforum has been useless because General Chess Discussion covers a lot of stuff in Game Analysis and vice versa.
Lichess Feedback - Pretty legit, people are willing to be helpful and put suggestions, but less people post there, naturally because it's only for suggestions and bug reports.
Off-topic Discussion - Too many trolls and repetitive forums clogging up the forum space so the good forums are not visible.
Our grandmother(tpr) doesn't post. I feel like the Off-Topic Discussion Forum used to have a lot of more lively and interesting discussions, but is that just me? And of course, so many well-known forum posters stopped or left...
Only been on forums a little while.some of it's good.some of it's just snarky, simplistic b.s.wheat from the chaff sort of thing.looked at some old posts and I never see those people now, some of them were pretty clever.don't think it's dead just kinda stultifying.too much ego not enough thought.but there are still good intelligent people posting.worse part is I find myself involved in forum discussions when I should be playing chess.
I wouldn't call the forums "DEAD," though...just maybe a little less lively and slower than it used to be. But then again, it may be just me.
Lichess Feedback isn't good either way. Half of the posts are: "How to make a BOT", "Why was this a draw "and "Why are there so many cheaters" or something like that and the other half are good posts getting no reply and being forgotten.
@AtomSchachMeister Yeah, most are good questions but they don't get helpful replies and slowly...sink to the bottom of the feed. Others are questions that keep repeating(like the ones that you mentioned).
