Who is the greatest person in the Star Trek universe?

In my opinion it can definitely "not* be Captain Kirk. While he was a courageous leader that cared about his crew, that silly grin on his face when faced with the prospect of unlimited dalliances with green-skinned females made him seem like a teenage boy invited to spend the weekend with Hugh Hefner at the Playboy mansion!

Compare that to the majesty of Captain Picard as he endured the trials set by the Q and survived his traumatic encounter with the Borg; he seemed much more akin to a hero in a Greek tragedy than anyone else.

However, I am prejudiced in favor of Commander Spock. While I can definitely *not* say that he was a greater person than Captain Picard, he was an aged philosopher that liked meditation and chess, since I am that also then I unfairly break the tie with Picard in favor of Spock! What say you?

I thought that trial which conclusively established that he was a person was almost Shakespearean!
I'm leaning towards Spock right now, if I remember maybe I'll think about this a bit more.

In Kirk's defense, he did get things done.
And I don't think that he was handed a captain's chair for lying in bed with green girls.
On top of that, she did look kind of cute.
That would be Terry Matalas. Nerds will sing how he outsmarted Kurtzman for a thousand years.
Hardcourt Fenton Mudd (Harry Mudd) - :] P.S. We all owe a debt of gratitude to Lazarus ! - :]
I started watching DS9 years after it came out, Benjamin Sisko is amazing. He is diplomat, negotiator and commander; moves smoothly between those roles.
