Which Web Browser do you use/prefer?

I just tried the epic privacy browser. It has some interesting features, but will not work correctly during a Lichess game.
It seems to be missing a refresh when the opponent plays a move.
If I press the function key the game works. Without that F5 key, the timer runs out like nobody connected, but they did connect. You just couldn't see it without pressing the refresh button..
Well I tried the UR-Browser. I'll keep that one. It works on lichess. It had a bit of a lag when I first connected to the Lichess home page. The loading of the home page was noticable, but complete. The 3+2 minute anonymous games played out well and fast.

Oh, I unchecked the 3 boxes when I first installed that browser. Just my personal preference at the moment, since I never had used that browser.
I just tried an ultrabullet game using the Slimbrowser (64bit).
It loaded the Lichess home page and the game fast.
It was smooth. I'll be keeping that one installed.
I'm using Opera web browser, and it's honestly better than most mainstream browsers. You should check it out.
Brave for most things, especially those that can be identified as things done by me. For all trash and random stuff i do, i use chromium or iridium. Firefox currently for work.

Brave is a good browser because it blocks ads and trackers by default (which saves you money), does not track you like chrome or edge, it's opensource like lichess, allows most extensions, safeguards you from fingerprinting by randomizing it. Uses Brave private search engine (BETA) as default, but u can change it if u want.
Cons: themes aren't displayed as greatly as in chrome. Also, the brave crypto wallet is always running no matter what, which uses some unwanted memory... Also, it had once before betrayed its users by selling personal info, but now it promised that it wouldn't do it again.

Overall, imo the pros do outweigh the cons and it's a great browser. It feels much like chrome so a switch wouldn't be so felt, as in a switch from chrome to firefox.

Chromium and Iridium are as similar to Google Chrome as any browser can possibly be. They don't track you and are opensource software. The biggest con is that people find it annoying to update the browsers manually. Also, these don't protect you from fingerprinting as Brave. But, i'd recommend using it if you'd prefer a strictly chrome-like interface.

Firefox is another opensource browser completely independent of Chrome. It's one of the greatest. The new "Pocket" feature is kinda annoying tho. And the Mozilla Corp is suffering without much money, which is sad... Themes aren't that great in firefox, just like Brave. Anyways, it's a great browser and i'd recommend it. Firefox claims to protect you from fingerprinting.
@Toscani I'd say only use Tor browser if you want extreme privacy and anonymity. Or else any other opensource trustworthy browser like Firefox will do great, because Tor is just too slow for everyday use.
I installed ... iridiumbrowser.de/downloads/windows

I had never heard of it.

As soon as I install a new browser I go to the parameters, config or preference section. What ever they call it. I cannot assume that it is set the way I want it until I see the setting box. Then the rest I have no choice but to trust.

What's good about all your forum posts is ... we are discovering alternatives to our present browsers and the reasons why we use it.

Thanks eveyone ... Keep them coming ... Always glad to see something new.
