The Russian federation only contributes less than 4pc to the UN budget. The US between 22-27 pc depending on what you read. Even the UK contributes more than Russia. The UN itself is a joke. Their "peacekeeping" forced are known for abuse,rape and thievery. I believe it is time to abolish the UN as another good idea that just doesn't work. Security council mostly seems to mean possessor of nuclear weapons.

And the goal of all this is in the north of England there are very rich deposits of oil and gas that the France very need.

Except it was the Norse/French who invaded in 1066 - and became the English and came to despise the French and certainly do not consider themselves French. But by your logic France has every right to invade England to this day, because they came from France right?
Or perhaps you do not believe in the ability for a nation to redefine itself? Afterall - no one is truly even American, we're all just a bunch of Germans, British, etc.. what are we even doing in our country!! Why isn't it all falling apart?
If a peoples decides they are independent, as they have - that is to be respected - If they wish to redefine their culture, that is to be respected too. No other power has the right to try and murder them all (again, in the case of Russia) - to try and take land that they think belongs to their great great great great great great great grandpa or some nonsense.
