Of course I'm going to denounce the adoptions of anti-market policies by the US that hurt the consumer. Especially when its being touted by a president who claims to be defending the free market.
Like it or not, free trade and capitalism have been the reason for American economic success since WWII. I don't think there's an argument to be made for capitalism hurting the US in recent years. It's a big reason why Trump got elected in 2016-- people thought he would be staunchly pro-market.
As a Republican who's biggest concern is the economy, Trump's putting me in a no-win situation for 2020. I can either vote for a man who claims to be pro-free market, yet actively opposes free trade agreements and raises prices; or I can vote for Biden, who, as a Democrat, probably supports increased government regulation, which works out to be the same thing. Best case scenario, Trump wins the election, immediately gets impeached, and Pence becomes president. That's not a great best case scenario.
