I wonder, does the Russian KGB like or dislike the King's gambit, Bishop Bc4 variation (KGB) on the first 3 moves instead of playing the traditional Nf3 for White on move 3 in the King's Gambit?
Now, I don't like the KGB because I'd rather open up with Larsen's Opening, b3 right now, which is different than traditional e4, King Pawn Opening's, but usually in a symmetrical KP game, White goes for Nf3 on move 2; but then that play's into the hands of the Russian Game (or Petrov's Defense), when Black copycat's both traditional moves.
When looking to copycat 2 moves in a row, perhaps that's Why I haven't seen a copycat KGB opening. That probably would suck more than the traditional start off, therefore frustrating true lovers of the Russian petrov, being unplayable against White's KGB opening! I mean, I haven't heard of Black's copycat game to that White move order, or matching defense in the KGB opening - have you?
