as for activities, i dont know, theres always something dumber. to stay related to my initial fail:
drive half an hour back and forth for 1.5h sports class

I think people don't actually go there to do anything worthwhile, people go there to escape from reality and pretend they're actually doing something... Even for those who are interested in academics, they can rather home school / self study than to go to school itself.
