People are so selfish

I just can't believe that people can be this much selfish. Today I was playing some bullet games and my opponent blundered and proposed a takeback twice and I accepted it twice but that person was so selfish that when I blundered and proposed a takeback he rejected it ( it was a rated game). This behavior is unexpected, I know it is my fault but still they should play fair. What would you do if someone does it against you? I just blocked her and why people are so selfish?
“Selfish people sometimes fear or resent doing more for others because they feel it can impede their own needs.”

The word "SELFISH" would not have been invented if people were not like that...its the nature of some people...but the best way to tackle them is to ignore... @agnivo2008
just dont give takebacks and be selfish is the only solution
Rated is war, do not be generous to you enemies. Takebacks are for mouse slips only in casual games.
She challenged me that's why I thought it as a friendly match. The funny thing about it is that after I lost she wrote that `she forgot to accept the takeback.
yeah that got on my wick when an opponent didnt allow a takeback even tho earlier i had allowed one , but youve jost got to get mercenary if thats the rules of engagement and set your preferences to no takeback
Just because you gave your opponent a take-back, aka, did them a favour, does not mean they have to return the favour.
The point of chess(and all competition)is to win.
