I don't know. Through the centuries, the total subgenres multiplied exponentially. There are more rock genres than rock listeners.

Frank Zappa has a song called "The Chrome-Plated Megaphone Of Destiny". Chrome is a metal. Are you saying FZ is metal?

Also, I would contend "I Love Rock'n Roll" is not a rock'n roll song.
