Recently, I have noticed that there have been an unusually large number of... shall we say, anencephalous, forum threads in the off topics.
While I understand that you may feel the urge to post such fatuousness as a way to relieve the feeling of borefom during these unusual times, the fact of the matter is that these postings not only discourage more perspicacious posters from participating in the lichess forums, but also can create a sense of hostility towards younger users-- adults like being able to talk with each other as adults, after all, and this is supposed to be a place where such interraction is possible. If you continue to post immature threads in high volume, this sense of hostility will grow, and potentially turn to outright aggression.
Obviously, asking younger users to suddenly become more mature in their discussion and interests is both unreasonable and unfair. I therefore humbly request that someone create a team in which the creation of these threads is not controversial, but rather welcomed.
