How to develop self control?

Yea, really, I don't have a bit of it. Maybe I have it but very less. I use phone 9-13 hrs daily (rarely 14 hrs) and that's too much, I just want to study instead of using phone but....
In fact I used to use discord the most so I uninstalled it then again installed it and this happened 3-4 times, 3 days ago I left discord but I'm missing using it now, and now I am using lichess too much. Also I downloaded digital wellbeing app several weeks ago but everytime when it shows "you have reached the maximum limit of this app" I increase the app's max limit to 1 hour and by doing this my max limit for chrome is 13 hrs.
Am I the only one being too much distracted and not having self control? Or u all are also distracted or addicted to phone?
Any suggestions for developing self control? Please give your opinion and not a copy pasted article
Have you heard about a product called ksafe? This helps me to place some healthy boundaries around technology when I need to. How it works is - basically you place your device inside of this container - and set how long you want to take a break from. The container will lock itself - and you won't be able to access the device anymore (until the timer ends).

This product has honestly changed my life. If this is a bit pricey - there are timer-locks you can find on amazon (basically you place your device in a lockable safe or something, and then lock it in there with a timer-lock).

Something like this: www.amazon.com/Hours-Max-Timing-Lock-Rechargeable/dp/B07G2BBDPM/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=timer+lock&qid=1612807673&sr=8-3

If you need to take a break from a larger item - say a laptop - what you can do is get a lock that opens via key - and place the key in the KSafe, and lock your item in a safe that can fit a laptop.

Good luck to you.
Self control is something you need to learn and practice. People have self destructed by lack of self control: gambling, drugs, alcohol... It is important that you learn to develop self control. Seek help for your own good.
Self control is easy, just make it into a game. You want to do something but you know you shouldn't, so take a shot instead. Before you know it, you're too merry to care.

That's how I managed to cure my alcohol addiction.
Law of overload! Start with little and begin to enlarge it over time, I have the same problem of not controlling myself, and 9 weeks ago I started dedicating 1 hour to chess a day, after doing that hour I started doing whatever I wanted, then at next week two hours, and so on, 9 weeks have already passed and now I am consistently dedicating 5 hours to chess a day, so if you want to stop wasting your time you must get to work on something and start dedicating little time to later go up, it is also important that you keep a record of the days that you have worked and those that you have not, and it is important that you understand that when you start to work there will be many days that you do not do it because you do not have enough willpower, in such a case, you don't have to get depressed but just keep pushing, keep pushing until you get it, to finish it is important that you understand that to stop wasting time you need to have something to do (study something, work at something, set yourself some goal like for example writing a book, reaching a certain elo in chess, learning to cook a dish, whatever), you can only waste time when you have it, if you are busy enough to not have time then you can't lose it! good luck dude, i hope that you solve your problem, i had it many years and it has been one of the worst things in my life
Treat it like an addiction. Slowly spend less and less time using it until it feels normal to not do it at all, or at least not use it as much.
Here's a converse between my conscience and me.

Me: "Hmm... what is discord?"
Concience: "Perhaps go @ google store and try to find it; and when you find it: you can install and try it."
Me: "OK."
Me: "Hey, I found it!"
Concience: "Great. Now try it."
Me: Tried to log in with my E-mail.
After approx. 10 minutes - I uninstalled the App.
Conscience: "Why did you do that?" "How could you! (?)
Me: "I also don't know. Maybe self control."
They say that too much of anything is no good. So, I'd say, too much of self control is also no good.
