How many people leaving :(

Recently, @Awellensembledego closed his account. One week before that, @CalbernandHowbe closed his account. Why are many people leaving? :(

@Agnay202524 People have real-life commitments outside of chess. It's very unfortunate, but some of these guys have no choice.

Yes, but how sad when people leave :(

It is very sad I know, but we can't control people. I wish people stopped leaving, but we can't force them to stay. I think that they close their accounts maybe because they have other work to do. But it is very sad... I was especially sad when (@) shadow1414 closed his account :( D:

They have personal reasons, and I think we should just appreciate how they impacted the Lichess community.

As a matter of fact I did a study on this, I studied the patterns of leaving and the average type that were leaving and all that stuff and a conclusion came:

A new generation is starting in Lichess. I think it's true, alot of the poeple from our generation are leaving and new poeple are arriving. So technically for example my time here is gone -_-
At one stage, any of the poeple that would've been here, will be gone. And they won't be coming back. It will be a new generation, a new life...

I feel happy when long term residents of lichess and the other chess site leave. They found a better use of time or ends their solitary life.
