Guitar

vestigeprestige. Thanks.i've studied some musical theory and appreciate your input and superior understanding.i've just encountered so much negativity on forum posts that I guess I'm just kinda touchy and I apologize.
Like DGDGBD,lot of good bar harmonics in that tuning.i'll check out GAEDAD.what key is that?
Usually just play open G and dropped D on slide but I'm always open to new ideas
Just wondering,do you find the Dorian,Ionic, phyrigian, locrian, mixolydian, aeolian and similar modes interesting? they're sometimes fun against a psuedo flamenco rhythm.
"Dorian,Ionic,phyrigian,locrian, mixolydian, aeolian"

You looked that up, didn't you?
Yeah like 40 years ago modes are a common improvisational tool.major and minor scales, pentatonic and blues scales are just useful patterns for a guitarist when playing lead.
I'm sure vestigeprestige knows them all.it's just a matter of whole and half steps.mostly though I play blue scales and relative minor scales.im not a professional musician I just love to jam.scales are something you learn so you are free to improvise which to me is the heart of the blues
Here's a little different topic.i play the 78 reissue of the 58 Les Paul gold top with p90 pickups.really love that guitar.like telecasters too.what is your favorite electric?
I play a Brian Moore- an extinct custom shop that was in NY. If you play a les Paul you must be strong- those guitars are heavy! Good choice on the p90s!
Yeah they are heavy.good sustain though.to my ear p90s have such brilliant highs.gotta have a tube amp!
