Globular Earth

You know, there's a joke on the Internet that goes like this:

The apprentice comes to his Buddhist master and asks him "What is the secret of happiness?"

The master responds "Never argue."

Then the apprentice says "I don't think so."

"You are right." says the master.

So I'm not going to get into an argument with you :P
People have made more than 10 (TEN) valid points and were being very nice to you explaining why the earth is round. You haven't challenged any other than making the claim along the lines of ("You haven't performed this and that experiment yourself therefore its not valid"). Reproducibilty is important in research but you CAN't start reproducing every experiment in history by yourself. Using experimental data (or even the results if the experiment was performed soundly) is ok. Physicists aren't faking their data that much either (professional ethics + risk to get caught),

"Not the most basic knowledge of that thing" - yeah I guess a M.Sc. in physics isn't enough for this question huh.

EDIT: and people were even pointing out experiments which you CAN reproduce by yourself.
Technically speaking, Earth's magnetic field is a donut (or, even more technically speaking, a manifold, somewhat like an infinite loop or Escher's ants on a twisted piece of paper). Not sure how a piece of paper could remain flat under such considerations.

Technically speaking, Lagrange Points (gravitational null between 2 or more, n-bodies problem) is hard to reconcile without the earth being globular. If Earth (or the Moon, or the Sun) weren't globular in nature, then, they'd be in a constant position. (You would either live in the light, or the dark, tidally locked.)

But, I suppose, making these observations is overly board and equally trollish to those against or failing to grasp such basic propositions. (If you can't replicate Mythbusters small-scale, then go away.)
Earth could be flat! ( But not for the silly reasons the Flat Earthers try to convince us about. )
A hologram comes into 3D view from a 2D picture. Or it could be 1-dimensional. Or it could be just jumbled informational data.
You can interpret the world any way you like, but then you have to change your whole set of physical theories to account for it.
And yes, viewed as an S2 manifold the surface of the earth is always locally Euclidean (ie. flat ), that's why the ancients ( for centuries ) mistook it to be flat globally.
Right-ho Mr. Gonzalez.
Not once, but twice once have I argued likewise, in a thread named Flat Earth. Pearls before swine, as it appears.
Oy weh.
Some particular individual with lichess admin rights knows best @amazingname. I'm not sure that this godlike being will appreciate your curiosity with regards to the many unexplained bannings. It may be best if you quickly post something like "Lichess hurrah!" now, or we just may never hear from you again.
Just in case you won't be able to atone for your nosiness in time: Farewell amazingname!
Farewell!
@ReflectorNumber

A moderator will never ban you for asking a question like that. In general you won't be banned for asking any question as long as it doesn't insult others.

Bans only happen for sandbagging, cheating, and abuse. I think @robotrock just closed his account, and that is way better for us I think :D
