i think flat earthers are just behind a couple 100 years when the use to think it was flat. they haven't got to the point where humans began to advance and figure stuff out like newton figuring about gravity. actually i think everyone gets hit by apples. just not everyone comes up with good ideas like flat earthers

All monotheistic faiths based around the Ibrahamic tradition are fairly similar. In fact, there is even a term in Islam for members of these faiths (I think it is "people of the book").
Catholicism was the originator of a number of ideas in Christianity, such as that stuff with Jesus and the Bible. I find it hard to believe that Catholicism would prophesize itself as the antichrist in print, as that would be a wee bit of a downer for its practitioners. And if there was one thing the Catholic church didn't want back in the day, it was a decline in taxpaying churchgoers.
Just because one's beliefs are different from yours does not mean that they will enjoy the sinfully good s'mores that come with hellfire. As the book says, let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
