I guess to Israel it's like 9/11. Also this makes them look weak and vulnerable and so on.

I doubt it. Israel doesn't have much in the way of force projection. The IDF is designed to defend Israel and counterattacks against neighbors. An Iranain ship getting too close to Gaza might not get a second warning before being sunk but that is all I expect. Gaza on the other hand is going to be flattened.

The tensions between two nations is not new. Due to infamous Gaza Strip Attack, every day brings some new issue that keeps the countries in it.
Though not sure who started it years back initially but war yields nothing. And mankind especially in this time period, won't understand.

Every single time Israel has gained territory it has been after being attacked. Stop attacking and you will stop losing land. Gaza will necessarily become smaller as a Korea style no-man zone is obviously needed.
