I'm in the southeast US. There is a national park near me with a large river running through it. I walked in the morning on Monday and watched a family of deer running in the river. They seemed to enjoy it

Mule deer, antelope,black bear,racoons,ring tail cat,coatamundi,Bob cat, mountain lion,jaguar, several squirrel type, chipmunk,owls,hawks,blue Jays,robins,cardinals,elegant trogon,dove, mourning dove, orioles,hummingbirds,finches,sparrows,grackles,ravens,crows,buzzards,osprey, major birding area(Madera canyon) nearby, coyotes,javelina, rattlesnakes,coachwhip,garter snake,black racer,trantula, scorpions,bass,brown,golden, rainbow trout, bluegills,crappy,catfish,crawdads, bighorn sheep,greater and lesser long nose bats
And more I've probably left out.A lot of people don't realize the biodiversity of our desert/mountain region.Furthur north there are elk and whitetail deer,different gamefish prairie dogs and other animals
We also have the seldom seen but often heard drunken UofA student
