Do Russians support the war?

telegra.ph/Do-Russians-support-the-war-06-26 - here some comments from Russian Telegram chats after today's rocket attack on Kyiv. For those who do not understand what is written there - in short, they are delighted with the bombing of Kyiv, some of them are proposing to strike missiles in the western part of Ukraine, and some offer to strike even to other countries, such as Lithuania.

Here demonstration of what they happy about:

I believe that people should know who the Russians are now. I'm not a racist, I'm not saying that Russians are bad just because they are Russians. But they are sick now, something like the Germans were once sick of Nazism. And Russians, unlike the German Nazis, have access to the Internet and information. They are well aware of what is happening, but still MOST support the killings of Ukrainians.

The title of this thread should be "Do the Russian that posted comments on the following videos support the war?"
> But they are sick now, something like the Germans were once sick of Nazism
Then don't write "Russians". Write Putinists or war supporters or whatever you want. Just like not every German was a nazi, not every Russian is pro-Putin.

PS: the question "Do Russians support the war?" deserves to be asked, but showing a few youtube comment is by no mean a relevant answer to it. It is a well known phenomenon that internet comments on news related to controversial topics gather the worst of what mankind has ro offer.

Take a look at the balance of likes and dislikes under those comments.

Oh, I see some clarification needed here.
The comments I took are not comments from YouTube. These are comments from a Russian chat from a telegram. And the video from YouTube is just a demonstration of what they are happy about. And the comments I showed just a drop in the ocean.

Ah yeah I see I was confused. Still, that's if anything even less representative. For all we know, the said telegram chat was taken from a pro-Putin group chat.

Why is it a problem that russians support their own country in a war? war is not inherently immoral, and this war in particular has very clear and reasonable justifications and goals. so are they evil because they support a just war?

Is this why you think they are evil? because they support their own country while ignoring western and ukrainian propaganda? there is no evidence that russia has ever targeted civilians, but on the other hand even the UN says that ukraine has targeted civilians, for example when they recently launched shells at civilians in donbas, and then blamed it on russia afterwards (which is non-sensical because the people killed were russians).

really the point here is that whatever information you believe, whether you still think that the ghost of kiev or the bucha hoax or the theater bombing hoax are all real, or don't. that you should not fall into the trap of thinking that people who disagree with you are knowingly evil. i don't think that you are maliciously evil, and i don't think that most of ukraine and nato shills are evil, they have good intentions i am sure but are misinformed. so why not extend the same benefit to russians or pro russian people? they all have good intentions too, and only disagree on the facts.

so extend the olive branch and argue your position instead of grand standing and calling your opponents evil.

Really, what is wrong with you?

Cut the crap.
Though less but significant number of Russians are against the invasion of Ukraine.
