Cure for insomnia

I've tried camomile and lavender tea, with not much success.

Do you think a big spliff could help?

Ganja man.
Meditation has been helpful for me.

I use meditation to induce a resful state that may help sleep occur.

The approach that I like is starting with 10 minutes laying on your back. Allow yourself to be perfectly still. The next step will require some practice if the routine is new to you. Clear your mind of all thoughts. When a thought comes in, let go of it. As more thoughts enter your mind calmly dismiss them. The goal to accomplish with daily meditation is 10 minutes of stillness and quiet without engaging any thoughts.

I've had great success using this method for 30 years to enter a restful state.
I don't have insomnia problems, but I do Lichess puzzles with my tablet in bed. When my eyelids become too heavy, I place my tablet on my nightstand and fall asleep not long after. You might give it a try.

There are cycles in the sleeping time. Each hour, we are near to wake up or we wake up (even if we don't remember). Then, the cycle brings us in a deeper sleeping mode for the rest of the hour. So, if it happens to you to wake up each hour and are afraid not sleep for the rest of the night, relax, take it easy, and wait until you fall in the deeper mode period.

Is there something bothering you that could be causing insomnia? If so, we should try to resolve this problem. If it's difficult to find a solution, I am sorry to tell I can't help you go any further.

Good luck.
Melatonin might help however it didn't work for me .
Several noise apps available,white,brown,green,rain storms,waves crashing,etc.
I do find they help as does limiting computer/phone use at night.
It is difficult to sleep when your brain is active, when you are thinking. Try to stop thinking, something like #3.

When your brain is inactive, like when watching tv, it is difficult to stay awake. You could try an audio book.
