Block ads and trackers

@asdf5656 Whenever a site asks me to turn adblocker off, I immediately leave the site. No exceptions. 99% of all sites that force you to turn off adblocker to view their content are holes of clickbait garbage with 3 autoplaying video ads demolishing your bandwidth.
Mac users can rely on Wipr. Those who do have Win10 installed; for sure ublock origin is a must. MSoft and telemetry; a nightmare for all who do want there private records safe. Same goes for Google. Go for duck - or even startpage. Apart from that: go for a reliable VPN, install TOR and take it from there. Yep, exit nodes are a risk. But nevertheless...
Thank you for posting this! It is so important to protect our browsers from marketing misbehavior and also the malicious software that can use them.

All you have to do is turn off JavaScript for that site, and reload that page. That way, pop-ups are disabled, but you can read the text!
What about a hardware called: Adtrap.
I think it goes between the modem and the router.
I wonder if I can buy it in a store, without having to order it on the internet.

Having an add-on requesting access for this and access for that does not really interest me.
I don't understand why they need all this access.
Seems safer for me to have some sort of hardware firewall or use different computers for different tasks.

Example, I would be using ...
a laptop only for my emails and personal stuff.
a computer for surfing, no email accounts. It would be a Linux computer for surfing. It would be my test bench surfing computer;
a gaming computer for installed games, no internet required.

Sometimes we have two washroom, two TV's, ... Well maybe we need to separate our work stuff from our game stuff and our surf stuff. No every book is on the same shelf.

Thanks thibault some useful stuff here. But how do I use the one for my Android phone, I am somewhat of a boomer when it comes to that sort of stuff.
Blockada is asking some very tough questions.
