Russia is a nation composed of people, who were convinced to believe in their country's strength and become nationalists. You've seen what Lichess has to say about the war, and I don't think there's more to add. In my opinion, the only group of people who sanctions should be put on shall be the actual influential part, the oligarchs and the government. Banning common people here doesn't change anything, I believe everyone here is smart enough to decide whether the invasion is right or not. Also, I do hope Lichess won't get deeper into the conflict, it's a chess site at last, not a political agency.
Unfortunately, the Nukes that Psychopath Putin is threatening the whole world with do not discriminate between games, hobbies nor political affiliation.
And hearing his mindless, brain dead arguments bandied about verbatim -- NEVER replied to -- when dismantled.

Well, your attempt to convince Lichess to your idea is already strongly politically affiliated. Banning people for their approval for the invasion is a radical maneuver, which I obviously see as part of a political answer to the events ongoing.

I know how many people died and I do have sources where I get information about casualties, you don't have to worry about that.
