Award or Reward?

Me and @Olympians are having a big argument if you win something and you get an AWARD is it called award or reward?

Vote thumbs up for award and thumbs down for reward.

Award sees more specific to me, an award could be a type of reward. I think both can be used

REWARD is better

1.) don't like your own posts
2.) I personally would use reward, but I do think the two are interchangeable
