I'm just learning this, sorry for the basic level question. How can I grow my team in ways that do not violate the TOS?
Or, another way to put it, how do invite people to my team without doing advertising (that is prohibited by TOS)?
by the way i think u had a team with more than 1000 people
@morphyms1817 make a team in this link lichess.org/team/new and friends may join your team like mine lichess.org/team/onlypins933 i think now you understand @morphyms1817
@Supervision993 remove the link of your team its advertising
Advertise it on your profile if you’re leader of any other teams you can ask people to join by sending a message to all.
@KOMOKOID Thats true, I was invited to be a leader and accepted, I did not understand the concept of teams well. Trying now to do one on my own.
so @morphyms1817 you have your own team or are you going to make a new team now?
@morphyms1817 Usually, there are three ways to grow a team:
1. Invite your friends (through private message)
2. Post the few teams you really like in your profile
3. Simply wait!
Remember, when you create your team, all your followers see it on their timeline. When ANYONE joins, all THEIR followers see it on their timeline. So, even though it may seem like few people join your team at first, the more time goes by, the more people join.
Aside from that, there isn't much you can do. But don't try too hard, just wait, or else you'll be like that guy who tried making rice grow quicker by pulling it up from the ground :)
