Why the first puzzle of the day never gives me rating, only takes it out?

Hey, i've noticed that the first puzzle of the day, the one that shows up in the homepage, never gives me rating if i get it right, but if i miss it, it does affect it negatively... Any reasons why, or is this a glitch?

I dislike this too. Would be nice to at least not lose the points!

At any given point in time, there is only one puzzle that will affect your rating. That's the puzzle you get when going to lichess.org/training or after clicking the button for the next puzzle. For any other puzzle you do (so including the Daily), your rating is not affected.

If your rating does get affected after the Daily (which I have never observed for myself, for both succeeding and failing), my best bet is that the Daily was coincidentally also the one puzzle that would be rated.

After solving or failing the daily puzzle, I think it would make more sense to directly be redirected to /learning after click on puzzle from the home page.

I once experienced a bug that allowed me to replay the last 500 puzzles or so, causing my rating to inflate quite a bit. I later proved to be on that level however, so pls no delete precious rating :( Is this bug something you've encountered before?

@Shiaxou That's odd, no I haven't heard of that before, and I just tried it on one of my recently played puzzles and I couldn't reproduce.

@ProgramFOX Well it begun somewhere around March 31, if that helps. Lasted to the end of April. Can't reproduce it either, it works fine now :( No more free points
