There is a website which runs Lichess without source code available

This seems to be in violation of copyright, if @thibault has one.

It looks like it's based on an old version of lichess (possibly not modified at all?). But in any case, before 2016 lichess was licensed under the MIT license which means they aren't required to share changes.

I've found several of these. Sites that are basically just lichess+ads.

A lot of different people had the same bright idea.

I don't understand. What's the problem?

Okay, so, someone deployed FOSS, and, didn't change the branding everywhere.

To my knowledge, in at least once place, it says: "Don't bother contacting for assistance with deployment." (And further says, or implies in whatever remarks: Figure it out for yourself.)

Changing the branding, updating or modifying the nuanced details falls categorically into: get around to it ... whenever.

I don't understand. What's the problem? (Hate repeating myself.)
