Players are better to be marked with ? until they play 500 at specific control not 15 as it is now.
Currently its often not much different from sandbagging when someone U1900 has 200 games with 65% winrate. And you ussually unaware of that 65% and play as if against real 1900.
in my opinion 500 games in a specific time control llike for example classical to get rid of the "?" is insane, even for bullet its too much... :)
its the way of sandbaging. Most common likely. Alternatively number of games he played at current control can be displayed in a pop up menu instead of his lang for instance. Or add an E = established instead of ? if he has 500 games.
This way E players can play vs other players with E sign. Not against crappers sandbaginng or cheating with new account.
Couldn't agree more. I just got thrashed by a player who was the same rating as me - turns out it was only their second game. I still lost 9 points. How do we know after 1/2 games that their rating is not 2500 ?
That's a bit stupid really, it should be changed. I normally cancel games where I see the ? for precisely this reason. I read the other day on this forum that people with a ? don't affect your scores as much, well that turned out to be complete rubbish.
