9.6: "The game is drawn when a position is reached from which a checkmate cannot occur by
any possible series of legal moves. This immediately ends the game, provided that the
move producing this position was legal."

KNvKN statistics (unique positions)
White wins:
6 (0.0%)
Draws:
3,134,432 (100.0%)
Black wins:
6 (0.0%)
Those 6+6 positions are still a thing.
For example: 104...Kd6 105 Kh8 Ke6 106 Nf3 Na3 107 Ne5 Nc2 108 Nc4 108.Ng4 Nd4 109.Nh6 109.Nf6 Kf7 110. Nh7 Ne6 111. Nf6 Nf8 112.Nh7 Ng6#
It was a draw by 50 move rule. Before that, there were likely such positions too.
@ruzgar9543
you are right somehow because this position can be win:
white pieces: Kh1 Nh2
black pieces: Kf2 Ng3
but does it continue in KB vs KB?
Well lichess just follows the official FIDE rules so the issue isn't lichess but FIDE. Address your complaint to FIDE
Someone tell you to claim a 50 move draw when you can.
Someone tell you a loss on time is a loss except when no series of legal moves leading to checkmate exists
Someone tell chess.com the FIDE Laws of Chess
Someone tell you to play with increment if you do not like to lose on time
