I just played this game: lichess.org/ZCfVRgeg in the end I tried to practice my skills to check mate with N&B a little bit.
On move 84 the server claimed the game to be drawn for no reason.
Draw could be claimed in the following cases:
Time
Ok, I have to admit, I was extremely low on time, in the end... Only 11 seconds left on move 84. But still no reason to claim automatically a draw.
Stalemate
Nop, white's king got plenty of squares (c6, c7, e7)
Threefold-repetition
Black played the move Bd4 only twice in the whole game and even these two positions are different. Absolutely no way for this rule to apply.
50-move-rule
The last piece was taken on move 61 off the board. In my math that makes 61 + 50 = 111. So I had more than enough moves left for check mate.
Insufficient material
Nop. Knight + Bishop + King is NOT insufficient material.
So for what reason did the server claim a draw in this particular position?
