Removing defunct follower

Would it be possible to remove followers, where the account is closed or the user is marked as using chess software?
Maybe a switch in the profile to not show the entry anymore?

You can remove users from your followers list by blocking them.
If you don't want them on the blocked list afterwards you can unblock them. They will still be removed from your followers list.
