Rating loss because of cheating.

One of my opponents was cheating and then Lichess banned him. However I only get back 2 rating points, but I lost 21 points because of that loss.
@marekmica04 I think you only received a partial refund because you gained rating points since the loss against the cheater.

Please do yourself a favor and edit out the name of your opponent in question, so as not to get in trouble for naming and shaming. Thanks!

If the player is now banned who cares if we know his name?
@NickUK1969 There is at least the theoretical chance of a TOS-violation mark being removed from a player's profile after a successful appeal. For this reason alone, if for no other, it makes sense not to "name and shame".

It is debatable whether cheaters deserve protection from "naming and shaming" or not. It does not matter how you or I personally stand on this question. What matters is, that it is clearly against the rules of this site and a person can get in trouble himself for violating this rule.

So when I asked the OP to remove the name of the cheater from his post, I did not do so to protect the cheater, but rather the OP! It's bad enough he had to deal with the frustration of losing to a cheater and not receiving as much of a refund as was expected. He simply did not deserve to get himself in trouble as well for naming the cheater.
