Poor connection to Lichess only

I'm using google's nameserver 8.8.8.8
My connection works fine with other sites, but here I'm constantly getting the "reconnecting" popup.
Any ideas?

why are you using 8.8.8.8 anyway? 1.1.1.1 is faster.

@hey-zeus have you tested connecting to lichess on your phone (using either the regular website or the mobile app)? Is the connection speed different when you connect on a different device?

You can try COMODO DNS either, or your router DNS, which is fastest by default, but I'm not sure that DNS affects ingame ping at all. By common sense it shouldn't, since probably IP resolved once and then used without DNS.

I live in a rural area and am stuck with my ISP. I hardcoded lichess in my hosts file. No difference. Thanks for the input, guys!
