Players marked with computer assistance are listed as tournament winners on the front page

@leonid_komarov is shown as the monthly rapid winner, but his account is marked as using computer assistance.

@Aswer is shown as yearly blitz winner, but his account is closed (I believe he was banned for computer assistance)

These aren't players we should be celebrating by giving them a special spot on the front page.
Maybe I'm wrong about @Aswer, I don't know the story. Although going to the tournament page shows @lance5500 as the winner, which seemed odd to me. That's the only reason I thought he was using computer assistance.

I certainly don't think closing your account is a reason to remove you from the list, but @leonid_komarov is very clearly marked as using computer assistance.
More speculation of my own...

It looks like @leonid_komarov was marked very recently. I also don't see anything immediately obvious, related to his games, that imply he's a cheater.
Yep, that looks like a bug: cheaters should not be featured on the front page.
So um. Yea.
Why are they still both featured on the leaderboards and this was posted two days ago? :l
Yesterday @leonid_komarov was marked as engine assistance; now today 'his' account is marked as closed. So I'd say Aswer was also engine marked before closed.

This really isnt a good look for the leaderboards :l
Forum Games get thousands of views. Random nonsense gets thousands of views. Replies abound on all.

4 replies and less than 120 views...on a thread that actually matters lol.

Why is this just being ignored?
@toadofsky
well tyvm for trying to raise the issue. Thats ...kinda concerning that he'd close it and say "just a one-time glitch"

Which is obviously nonsense; as ...there are two of them now lol.

And sheesh; the second post. How do people that think that way have the power to close a post.
The idea that blunders or high ACPL have any bearing on anything at all...is just ..wow.
Insults my intelligence to think someone really thinks that.

Anyone responsible for reviewing cheaters should first absolutely have to understand engines; they should actually use them so they know how they operate. Or at the very least watch a LOT of footage of them being used.
A simple google search will tell you that what this user is saying is not only false....its laughable. Chess engines (most) do not only point out the best move. They can show you blunders which are not actually damaging. One such engine has a list of over 50,000 + blunders.
This engine does not JUST give you the best move. it is also capable of finding mistakes & blunders, and quantifying how bad they are.

This is why alternative methods of anticheat should be used; IE mouse tracking; keyboard tracking; etc. And maybe such things are used IDK.

Sheesh NTM you made that first post a day after Christmas; over a month ago. And STILL They are on the leaderboards?

That..is not a glitch. Thats bordering on complacency

Is it gonna take a youtube expose video to get em to fix it like it did with Twin Galaxies? Lol :(

Meh. I digress.
#9 Me too, it's possible I imagined something. I thought I imagined a cheater on the leaderboard who "won" a tournament after Dec 26, 2017.

Honestly, for my own ease of use I made a userscript to push tournaments & simuls above leaderboards and tournament winners...

I used to also push blog entries to the top of the page (they're fun and interesting) but now that I also get notifications for blog entries I don't need to do that. But my point is that I don't look much at the leaders/winners unless something is wrong...
