New profiles should get matched between new profiles.
The "Quick pairing" must not have limits. Imagine your new to the site. Access becomes very limited, especially if you cannot get quickly paired.
Tournaments have a nice feature.

Maybe the feature could be useful for the Lobby section.
We press "Create a game" and the settings are adjusted automatically according to our profile data. (Rating deviation, Game completion rate, Time spent playing & Types of games played : Blitz ...)
A player would get paired according to their profile data. Giving more importance to the waiting time to get paired, than the actual data.
It would probably have a similar effect as players that join tournaments. It would help players get paired to a balanced chess match.
In the long run, sharks would be playing against sharks and blitz players would be playing blitz players. If a player has more games in blitz, then the factor to pair them together would increase.
I think using the profile info will help to match players correctly.

If they have browser extensions and add-ons, then pair them with the other users that have the same extensions and add-ons. They obviously have something in common. :)
