no refund against cheater in classic chess?

3 days ago i played against a cheater. (he is marked as engine user) but did not get refund.

This is already the second time somebody got marked as cheater and did not get refund. Both in classic.
(VVersus was the other one)

I lost 30 points and with classic so i really want them back.
It took me 10 games to win 31 points on av 18 min per game so 3 hours of play.

I still do not understand.
- within 3 days - I reported him twice. 1 DURING THE GAME ALREADY. Second time a few hours later with more info.
- 30 wins i saw he played quite a few other quick games(1 min)
(do not know this one)
-my rating is not provisional.
- my highest peak is higher. i did not play any classical game after this game.
- it is about 30 points so less then 150.

In other formats i prob would have let go but this cost me 3 hours play.

3 days after the player got marked and I'm afraid your game just fell outside this 72 hours range.

Whats the reason behind limitaotions?

@Fairplayer1: I believe this question is already answered on the page linked by lovlas above (#2). I'll quote ProgramFox:

"Current and top rating are involved to avoid scenarios like this: you lose 150 points to a cheater, you then play against legit opponents and get back to your level, and only then the cheater gets marked. You shouldn't get a 150 points raise then because it makes your rating much higher than it should be. And the 30 games and 3 days rule is there because that's the timespan in which most cheaters should be marked and if they played legitimately before those games, there would be many unnecessary refunds."

What have i could done more then report him during the game and with more explanation a few hours later.

About classical.
Just checked my 59 losses.
18!! against computer. From my last 6 losses. 1 is extreme blunder. 2 against cheaters got refund, 3 games(2 players) is against cheaters without refund.

There isn't much more you could have done here. Unfortunately we caught your opponent a few hours too late for you to get a refund this time :(

thx for the reply and thx for the effort of catching cheaters. Especially in the big tournaments very quick response time.

It is really frustrating.

Especially because i reported in both cases (VVersus even went up to no2 in leaderboard ranking before getting caught)
It just looks to me i was not taken seriously when reporting.

In both cases i did not get the you caught a cheater message. So somebody thought they where legit.

Just stop playing classical..unless you know the guy you're playing against (at least frequently)...I got onto these probs especially in tournaments.. my rating dropped from about 2300 to 2100 just because of cheaters..so M kinda quitting this portion of the game.
