Lichess cannot force anyone to give up

@SilvioHoffmann but running your time out is another form of giving up and it is both unethical/rude and a waste of the opponents time whereas resigning is polite and correct in the situation. Since you are giving up the game either way it only makes sense that you should give it up in the better manner. Also, as has been pointed out before if people are getting upset for receiving a warning about their behavior then they are being too sensitive.
@SilvioHoffmann I've read all of your comments and in almost every one you use the expression "forcing you to give up". This is the, main, flaw of your logic. They are NOT forcing you to give up. You have a choice and the choice is entirely yours, to resign OR PLAY ON.
They are just saying one thing, that you can't just sit there and deliberately let all your time run out as many people do as a way to get revenge for a lost game.
I hope you catch on after my post , but I have a feeling your going to continue going on 'force me to give up" "force me to give up" "it's a violation of my human rights!!!!!".

And on the other main point you talk about having clearly defined parameters for this. Well there are, as another poster pointed out you can see the EXACT formula they use. It's all there for you to look at if you choose.
But there are also disadvantages to making this widely known in a simple way. I wonder if you have even bothered to consider what the disadvantages might be. For one, I think that a lot of people are deterred from ragesitting because of the very fact that they might not know exactly how it works. If they knew the exact limits, they could be inside those limits within one second. And this would encourage gaming of the system.

But above all please remember, no one is forcing you to resign. It's resign or play on.
Surely if you optionally play a free website you get more rights/choices, not fewer? Even if they randomly stop your games; subtract points; insult you etc, you STILL have more freedom - to play, chat, learn etc - than if the site didn't exist. And it's open source. Someone's done all this work for you and now you can just fork it in github and come up with an even better site with ever more freedoms!!!!1!!11!
I think, I received such a warning too in basically the same situation: 3+2 game and I got flagged while looking for a defense against a mate threat. It felt unjust. But I understand, that there are way too much games to check them all manually.

Unfortunately too many people just let the clock run after for instance blundering a rook. You cannot compare this to an OTB game, where basically nobody does this to avoid being considered as antisocial.

Don't worry about occasional warnings, I once had some problems with my internet connection, it broke like more than once in an hour and I received several warnings (like 3 warnings in 20 consecutive games) without a temporary ban.

Dear forum participants. I intend to respond to the messages in a timely manner, probably on Wednesday of next week, as I will be traveling and having difficulties in accessing the internet. Today and tomorrow I will be involved with chess teaching projects for teenagers and I will not dedicate myself to answering either. I think the topic has gained relevance and I want to continue debating it to contribute to the improvement of the platform and the dissemination of chess. Thank you for the considerations you have made, disagreeing or agreeing. I believe they are important for us to reflect and walk in search of a common good. My best wishes to everyone and Long Life to Chess and Lichess!
I note with considerable regret and sorrow that we have not yet seen the responses promised in a timely manner.
