Lichess banned atrophied

Leicester City won the premiership in football (Americans call it soccer) so statistically anomalies do happen.

A statistician expert is needed.

Or a temporary ban should suffice to account for the uncertainty.

it is allowed to play rated games on lichess having an GM giving you advice during whole match, and they stream it too :S

having loads of IM's and GM's playing on same account etc

lichess have no idea what they doing.
no red thread in their policy?

@NeverBeenTimid

From lichess' discord server:

[1:47 PM] oned: Can moderators read user's PM's?
[1:48 PM] Unihedron: In terms of whether the feature / power exists: Yes. However, we don't use it unless it's necessary. I also won't pry on this decision.
[1:48 PM] lovlas: lichess.org/privacy
[2:02 PM] oned: "Additionally, users will be reported to the moderators if the system’s “shutup” script auto-report a user for using blacklisted words. Here is the “shutup” script’s dictionary and here is its source.

In both cases, the nine most recent reported user’s inbox messages and private in-game chats will be visible to the moderators. "

So if I say "I keep a pop tart in my fanny pack" in a PM you can/will(?) read my last 9 messages (or message threads)? 2 blacklisted words in that sentence
[2:04 PM] Unihedron: If you're a mod and you read someone saying "I keep a pop tart in my fanny pack" will you hit ban?
[2:04 PM] oned: Of course not, but you're saying you would read that?
[2:05 PM] Unihedron: That's what the terms have always said, didn't you have to agree to it to sign up?
[2:05 PM] Unihedron: :p
[2:06 PM] oned: I guess we have vastly different definitions of "necessary"
[2:07 PM] Unihedron: I don't imagine it will be any more effective to not show not-blacklisted messages, because it makes it possible for users to purposefully dodge the blacklist and when we get a non-automatic (manual) report, we need the information to make informed decisions.
Can someone make a browser extension warning you that lichess will read your PRIVATE message since it contains "blacklisted" words? Thanks!
Mods, a couple suggestions for future cases like this from an average user,
You don't need to go in to detail about the specifics of the case other than, perhaps, "upon review we regret that user X has broken the terms of service. Remember that doing Y and Z will get you banned."
But communicating (and being transparent) with the community is important to keeping trust and good will.
You might also outline what (if any) appeal process there is.
Please can you reinstate Atrophied, I am in middle of a 14 day correspondance ZH game with Atrophied, which I 've paid for! He has offered a refund, but I'll rather keep going.
Are you sure he can't still play, @watford ? Sounds weird since it's a casual game. It also says the game is ongoing on his profile.
After watching atrophied video and the arguments he has in favour of himself, it seems totally ridiculous that he is banned, I love lichess but seems like a really bad decision by the mods.

So maybe now that you've heard half the story you could wait to hear the other half before deciding?
