Lichess offers this option upon the disconnection of your opponent from the game. To my knowledge, one cannot begin another game without allowing their opponent this option.

After the disconnection works fine, but it's posible to open a new tab, start a new game and close the first tab. If you want, we can play and I will let you waiting, and you will see in my profile my other game :P
Like I said, it doesn't matter what they do on their time. Once in an OTB tournament, my opponent left the building and never came back when he still had half an hour left. What can you do about that? Claim a victory?
