I don't know if this is a bug, but the highest puzzle rating I previously had was about 1850, but it was more often in the 1700s or maybe lower, and in all other ways my rating is much lower.
But recently on the app for some reason my puzzle rating was reset for some reason. It hadn't been changing for a while. And from playing after that I'm now at 2059, having reached 2099 at the highest.
And it's not only that the rating reset allowed me to progress quickly, it's also that puzzles in the 1900s range are now routinely a piece of cake for me. So I'm not sure what is going on. Nice to reach a 2000 rating in something though!

Puzzle ratings are virtually meaningless anyway.
" puzzles in the 1900s range are now routinely a piece of cake for me" Agreed. I also have a feeling that the app puzzle ratings are now too high, but this could be from us not upgrading our apps. Also, since the upgrade, all the puzzle ratings are trashed. We can fail a puzzle and not get credit, and we can also change a puzzle if we don't think we want to give up. See

But, the main effect is that some of us have a lower puzzle score since we aren't allowed to come back to puzzles we started. This may inflate the ratings for everyone else. My own observation is most puzzle ratings are now higher for the same pre-upgrade difficulty level. (They seem easier now.)

i felt the same after the new puzzle system came in, if you look on my account you will see a rise of like 400-500 points in a few days after it came in. Also made a form post asking about this. my rating was 1335 and i shot up to 2000 but its starting to level out as puzzles get better placed
i think part of that was due to not playing puzzles for a long time whist improving in other areas as a new player

Yesterday they gave me danmn 1600 puzzles today they gave 2200 lol
