Cheating?

I got a message from Lichess that I lost againt a cheater and got 5 points back? How is it even possible to cheat? And how does Lichess know? (Just curious)
Sadly there are still many people who cheat using an engine, and Lichess has a very good detection algorithm.
I would like to know if Lichess detects the cheater that uses only a few Stockish moves (when he doesn't know how to continue, or finds himself in difficulty), but the vast majority of the moves made are human. I don't think Lichess can locate a person who plays using GM game matches, openings and games ...!
@Terex01 I am sure a player using GM game matches would get caught really quick. Here are the reasons:

-What is the probability, someone who is not a GM, plays GM-like regularly? The chances are really low right?
Its pretty naive to think cheaters are only determined by their inaccuracies, mistakes and blunders. The algorithm mainly works with probability. What is the probability playing such games regularly? Whats the probability of a human finding this move in this specific position in this specific time? This are some questions the algorithm might ask. Keep in mind that in the grandmaster games the grandmasters took a lot of time to find the excellent moves, meaning if you play this as a non-GM in a very short time, the system will see that the chances are really low that you found it that fast.

-Probably the cheating algorithm has also the grandmaster games in his database, meaning if the game is too similiar to one in the database, the cheater will easily get caught.

@braunegefahr Thanks for the explanation of how the Lichess anticheating algorithm works, but in case of discovery of a script of GM's moves, what appears on his profile, in red, to report it to other users? "Player using GM's moves ....," or "Player using the database ...."?
@sheckley666
Often, when we study opening theory, we memorize many moves that have been studied and found by GM, and therefore it could be said that we are playing moves from GM, so what? Do we have to be banned from Lichess for this? And if our opponent doesn't respond with the right moves from GM, all the better ... then let's start playing with simpler moves, ours, and we will win anyway ...
@Terex01
If we *memorize* the moves then this is of course not a reason for a ban.

However, if you play in non-titled regions, there will hardly be more than a few moves from the opening database, even if one side knew the theory, the other side wouldn't. And the one side will not automatically win, because (s)he doesn't understand, why some moves are better than others.
