Bug: both players lost on time

I played during the update and was in a winning position, but then my opponent didn't move and timed out. then five minutes later the page updated and I was the one who lost on time. His move had never shown up on my side. annoying way to lose.
This happened to me, and it's incredibly infuriating.

At minimum, there should be a prominent notification that the user needs to refresh the page. Especially if a refresh is required after every update.

This has also happened to me.

I was playing chess on my iPad and then My opponent didn't move so I went on another tab to play something else. I kept going back and forth but it says my opponent still didn't move. After a while, I checked back again and I lost on time. I didn't even see that my opponent moved, as it wasn't showing on my screen.

With all due respect, I do not believe that "stop complaining" is a solution to... well, anything.

This is an awesome platform. It can be made more awesome by eliminating bad user experiences.

This only happens to you occasionally, but with thousands of concurrent users, we're probably creating 100 weird experiences with every restart (which occurs often).

The user should not need special knowledge about how the platform works to finish a game. Forget technical solutions. A simple string of text would solve this problem 99% of the time.
