Blinfolded chess

This is just a suggestion. I feel lichess developers should add the blindfolded chess variant. It is quite fun to play, and would be nice to have tournaments for it. I don't think spectators should be able to see the pieces in such a variant though as one of the players could log on as a spectator, which should be considered cheating. However, would be a fun variant to play and look forward to seeing it here.
If you click on your username at the top right corner of this web page, then click on the "preferences" (with a gear icon in front), then scroll all the way down, the last option is "Blindfold chess (invisible pieces)", if you set that to "Yes" and start a game, your pieces will be invisible.
but is it only for me, or also for my opponents? I mean both players have pieces invisible and play each other, of course not just for one person?
The only way to play a mutual blindfold game is to agree with your opponent to play one.
It is too easy to cheat for it to be enforced, all a cheater has to do is open the game in a private-browsing window or another device to spectate and see the pieces, and there is no way for lichess to detect this type of cheating.
Your best bet is to find someone who is interested and ask to play a casual game in blindfold mode.
