Bad Internet Feature

I, and probably many others, have bad internet. Could lichess.org make a low graphics feature, where it won't take as much internet?

Yes, that's the default mode. lichess is the lightest chess website around, and loads faster than 99% of websites.

Thanks Thibault for responding, but you might not have understood. I'm running the fastest version of lichess.org, I was asking if you could intentionally make a "bad graphics" button that people with bad internet could switch on to have less lag.

All graphics are vectorials. It cannot be made any faster.

Note that graphics, if they could be further improved, would only affect page load. Not lag during a game.

Thibault. It has come to my attention that the lag here is insane. I just lost to a 1000! because of it. I understand there is nothing you can do, but I definitely agree with Boss_Chess, there should be a bad graphics button.

People with bad Internet connections should stick with Correspondence Chess. :]

I think there is nothing the website can do if you just dont have a stable internet. Also this is the fastest chess site one ever can find

I have 675+ ping. 1 minute chess refunds around 400 of that lag. Could the site refund 600+ instead of 300/400? I'm not saying make it so people with bad internet can play ultra (though that would be nice! :D), but just so we can play bullet?

Also @thibault how does lag compensation even work ? I've a horrible connection and at times I lose a lot of time due to this. As far as I remember , I have never got lag compensation ( time increment ) . My average network lag never gets added to my clock .

Sometimes when I play ultra bullet my time freezes for a little time then unfreezes. I find this annoying!
